Our award-winning seating solutions are developed from consumer research, finding the ease of operation to be comfortable, convenient and connected.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPosition Summary: The Senior Launch Coordinator supports the Program Management and Launch teams in coordinating new program launches and managing changes onsite at the manufacturing facility, from development handover through production implementation. The role coordinates with customers, suppliers, and internal operations, engineering, and launch teams to smoothly integrate changes and new products into production and provide the launch coordination team with necessary information and guidance.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nMaintain a safe work environment and ensure ongoing compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. \nMaintain compliance with IATF 16949 quality management system requirements, including applicable procedures and documentation; identify and recommend procedural improvements when appropriate. \nSupport all activities related to change management.\nLead change management proactively to ensure timing and program team objectives are met for all customer and Magna Seating milestones.\nControls the production Bill of Materials to ensure each build event or build phase has clear requirements for what level components need to be used and is aligned with engineering and program management.\nCoordinates with suppliers on engineering change and revision level changes to ensure smooth implementation of changes through alignment of EDI and break point timing with internal cross functional teams.\nIdentifies and communicates barriers to the successful completion of program milestones to the leadership team on a regular basis. \nDevelops and implements recovery plans to eliminate barriers.\nInterfaces with required functional disciplines and departments for program support.\nLeads detailed timing plans for all engineering changes.\nTracks tool status and location for all new parts and/or engineering changes (tool change, graining, etc).\nResponsible for tracking and publishing the required part levels for each build phase.\nResponsible for tracking all upcoming build phases and ensuring that milestones are achieved leading up to the build phase to ensure all timing requirements are met. Including tracking the status of orders by part number to ensure that all requirements are on track.\nResponsible for tracking and communicating special build events and related requirements.\nProvides inputs and guidance to the Launch Coordination Team ensuring all team objectives are met on time.\nUses effective forms of communication regularly to update the team on upcoming activities and current projects.\nSupport special seat build material tracking - parts in house confirmation, through organized spreadsheets.\nCreate Purchase Orders as needed for Special parts, pre-series parts, or other requirements.\nSupport part inventory and location confirmation ahead of build events to ensure all parts needed for builds are available in the quantities required, noted in an organized spreadsheet.\nSupport the launch and materials team with adjusting system demands to the correct revision levels to ensure change management continuity\nTracks and maintains KPIs for change management as defined by the leadership team.\nActively participates on projects designed to support program requirements, as directed by launch management.\nProposes departmental and process improvements to streamline the overall success of the company and success in meeting customer expectations.\nDemonstrate respectful and professional conduct with co-workers, supervisors, and leadership. \nAttend required meetings and training sessions and contribute constructively. \nComplete all assigned training courses in a timely manner. \nPerform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and business objectives.\nRequired Skills and Experience:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field, completed or in progress, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\nProject and Time Management: Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, prioritizing competing launch and ramp-up activities, working independently, and meeting tight deadlines.\nChange Management: Ability to lead and manage changes during new product launches and process modifications.\nAnalysis and Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex data and conflicting schedules, pro-actively anticipate risks, and apply structured problem-solving and continuous improvement principles to resolve issues and prevent delays.\nLeadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to promote accountability and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality.\nAttention to Detail: Accuracy in managing material requirements, specifications, and documentation to prevent errors and omissions.\nAdaptability and Reliability: Dependability and flexibility to address supply disruptions, project changes, and other business needs, including working outside normal business hours when required.\nCustomer Focus: Commitment to providing quality, timely support to internal teams and external customers.\nNegotiation: Ability to negotiate favorable supplier and vendor terms, lead times, and delivery schedules.\nMicrosoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.\nundefined\nPreferred Skills and experience:\nAutomotive and Seating Experience: Experience in the automotive industry, preferably supporting OEM Tier 1 launch programs and automotive seating products, with knowledge of seating components and assembly processes.\nCustomer and Commercial Support: Experience building and maintaining professional customer relationships, supporting customer requirements, and coordinating commercial activities, including invoicing and collaboration with Finance.\nSystems and Planning Tools: Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, with familiarity with material requirements planning (MRP) software and other tools to streamline processes and data management.\nSupply Chain and Logistics: Understanding of procurement, inventory management, manufacturing processes, and logistics.\nIndustry Standards: Familiarity with applicable supply chain and manufacturing standards, regulations, and best practices.\nLean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement: Understanding of lean principles and methods to optimize inventory and reduce waste.\nInnovation and Creativity: Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex product launch challenges.\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
