Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nSKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:\nEducational Requirements: University degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline; an equivalent combination of relevant post-secondary education and extensive automotive quality experience may be considered.\nMinimum Experience: Five to eight years of progressive automotive manufacturing quality experience, including program launch, direct customer contact and leadership of complex quality issues.\nKnowledge Required: Advanced knowledge of IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools, PPAP, APQP, Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, capability analysis, GD&T, blueprint interpretation, metrology, customer-specific requirements and structured problem-solving methods including 8D, 7D, 5 Why, PRR and QPR.\nComputer Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio; ability to analyze quality data and prepare clear technical reports and management presentations.\nAdditional Certificates/Diplomas: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, IATF 16949 Internal Auditor, VDA 6.3, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, and AIAG Core Tools training are preferred.\nLicenses/Permits Required: N/R\nPhysical Requirements: N/R\nCommunication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues effectively to customers, suppliers, shop-floor personnel and senior management.\nAdditional Education/Experience: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, customer escalations, audits, corrective actions, supplier quality improvement and the mentoring of quality personnel.\nKEY COMPETENCIES FOR THIS POSITION:\nAdvanced and independent application of AIAG Core Tools, customer-specific requirements and quality-system standards.\nStrong analytical judgment and disciplined problem solving using statistical and risk-based methods.\nTechnical leadership, accountability and sound decision-making under customer and production pressure.\nAbility to influence and lead Customers, Suppliers, Operators, Engineers and cross-functional teams without direct authority.\nEffective coaching and mentoring of quality and manufacturing personnel.\nContinuous improvement focus with demonstrated ability to prevent defects, reduce variation and improve customer satisfaction.\nSTANDARDS: AWARENESS FOR THIS POSITION:\nCustomer System Access and Navigation\nFord Customer Specific Requirements\nGeneral Motors Customer Specific Requirements\nFCA Customer Specific Requirements\nToyota Customer Specific Requirements\nHonda Customer Specific Requirements\nTesla Customer Specific Requirements\nMagna Divisional Specific Requirements\nIATF 16949\nISO 14001 and Environmental Policy: 2015 Section 7.3 Awareness\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
