Join us in advancing and shaping the future of mobility.\nJob Responsibilities:\nSenior Software Engineer Robotics\nThe role also includes validating and maintaining existing AMR systems, supporting factory deployments, performing robot mapping and site commissioning, troubleshooting software issues, and collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to deliver robust industrial robotics solutions. Domestic and international travel is required to support customer deployments, system integration, commissioning, and onsite debugging activities.\nWhat you will do in this role:\nDesign, develop, and maintain robotics software for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Fleet Management Systems, and related applications. \nDevelop software for robot navigation, localization, path planning, robot control, traffic management, fleet coordination, and mission execution. \nDesign and optimize algorithms for multi-robot coordination, mission scheduling, route optimization, collision avoidance, and autonomous robot operation. \nDevelop modular software components and optimize communication and data flow between robotics software modules. \nIntegrate robotics software with Fleet Management Systems (FMS), PLCs, industrial communication protocols, and third-party systems. \nDevelop internal software tools for robot configuration, deployment, monitoring, diagnostics, testing, and debugging. \nValidate robotics software through simulation, laboratory testing, and production environments while tracking, analyzing, and resolving software issues. \nPerform robot mapping, localization tuning, system commissioning, and onsite deployment at customer manufacturing facilities. \nSupport existing AMR systems by investigating software issues, performing root cause analysis, implementing fixes, and improving system stability and performance. \nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and customers to support product development, factory deployment, and continuous system improvements. \nProvide onsite technical support for domestic and international customer deployments, factory integration, commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting.\nWhat you should bring to this role:\nMaster's or higher degree in Engineering including but not limited to: Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Aerospace, and Robotics. Automotive OEM or Tier-1 experience preferred.\nProven experience in robotics software engineering with knowledge of robot navigation, localization, robot control, traffic management, fleet coordination, and industrial automation.\nExperience developing, integrating, validating, deploying, and debugging robotics software in production or customer environments.\nHands-on experience with AMRs, robotics platforms, industrial automation systems, sensors, actuators, and communication networks.\nExperience performing robot deployment, mapping, commissioning, system validation, and onsite customer support.\nExperience investigating software issues and working with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve technical problems.\nSpecial Knowledge/Skills:\nStrong understanding of robotics algorithms including traffic management, fleet coordination, path planning, navigation, localization, and obstacle avoidance.\nExperience with multi-robot systems, fleet management software, and industrial robotics applications.\nStrong C/C++, Python programming skills\nExperience with Linux, multi-threaded software development, and real-time systems.\nKnowledge of industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, DDS, TCP/IP, Ethernet, CAN, REST API, and VDA5050.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written English communication skills.\nPhysical Demands/Work Environment:\nNormal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer\nVision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus\nHybrid in-office policy: 3 days in office per week, but will be needed to work up to 100% in office as the work requires.\nDomestic and international travel up to ~10%.\nHiring Base Salary Range: $85,670 - $159,110 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
