Our award-winning seating solutions are developed from consumer research, finding the ease of operation to be comfortable, convenient and connected.\nJob Responsibilities:\nThe Spare Parts Coordinator is responsible for managing the inventory, procurement, storage, and availability of maintenance and production spare parts to support uninterrupted plant operations. This role works closely with Maintenance, Production, and Suppliers to ensure critical spare parts are available when needed while maintaining optimal inventory levels and controlling costs.\nYOUR RESPONSIBILITIES\nInventory Management\nMaintain accurate inventory records for all maintenance and production spare parts.\nMonitor stock levels and identify minimum/maximum inventory requirements.\nConduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories.\nInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.\nEnsure proper storage, labeling, and organization of spare parts.\nProcurement & Supplier Coordination\nGenerate and submit purchase requisitions for spare parts and maintenance supplies.\nCoordinate with Management to source parts and maintain adequate stock levels.\nTrack open purchase orders and expedite deliveries as needed.\nCommunicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, availability, and order status.\nAssist in identifying alternative suppliers for critical components.\nMaintenance Support\nCollaborate with Maintenance personnel to identify critical spare part requirements.\nEnsure timely issuance of parts for planned and emergency maintenance activities.\nSupport preventive and predictive maintenance programs by ensuring required parts are available.\nRecommend stocking strategies for critical equipment components.\nWarehouse & Inventory Control\nReceive, inspect, and verify incoming spare parts deliveries.\nUpdate inventory transactions in the CMMS, ERP, or inventory management system.\nMaintain proper documentation for receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments.\nCoordinate the disposal of obsolete, damaged, or excess inventory.\nContinuous Improvement\nAnalyze inventory usage trends and recommend improvements.\nSupport cost reduction initiatives through inventory optimization.\nDevelop and maintain spare parts standardization programs.\nParticipate in continuous improvement and operational excellence activities.\nWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nEducation/Certification/Licensure:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nAssociate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.\nExperience:\n2-5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, maintenance stores, or spare parts management.\nManufacturing or automotive industry experience preferred.\nExperience working with ERP, MRP, CMMS, or inventory management systems.\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:\nStrong understanding of inventory management practices.\nKnowledge of maintenance, industrial equipment, and spare parts.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience with SAP, FIXX, Oracle, Plex, Maximo, or similar systems preferred.\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
