Dream big and create the future of mobility at Magna Powertrain.\nJob Responsibilities:\nMission of the Position:\nSupplier Quality Development Engineer (SQDE) Electronics ensures process standardization with respect to launch programs by supporting SQDE projects principally in Magna Powertrain (MPT) North America (NA).The individual will ensure compliance while focusing on flawless launch initiatives for MPT NA Programs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nConduct varioussupplier-relatedaudits on potential,newand current suppliers to Magna Powertrain: Supplier Capability Assessments, Run-at-Rates, Manufacturing Capability Audits, Control Plan Audits, etc., and take necessary actions asrequired.\n\nMonitor supplier performance (Incidents, PPM’s, COPQ) and develop / implement effective action plans to improve poor performing suppliers.\n\nAbility toidentifysupplier improvements (process, quality system, etc.) and ensure effective actions are taken to improveKMIs.\n\nIssue supplier performance PC’s and follow through to completion.\n\nDisposition supplier PPAP’s and 8D’s (5-Why).\n\nManage Cost Recovery process with suppliers.\n\nCoordinateSupplier ChangeRequests.\n\nSupport manufacturing locations onsupplier relatedperformance issues (conduct 8D verification, review containment process).\n\nConduct supplier quality procedure / process type training and awareness activities with suppliers (SRM, PPAP, etc.).\n\nSupport new program launches, supplier localization, resourcing projects, etc.\n\nPractice andmaintainintegrity while following Magna’s Charter and Constitution.\n\nFollow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.\n\nSupports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality managementsystem(IATF).\n\nDrive the development ofnew technologiesto improve quality,efficiencyand reducecost.\n\nComply withsafety policies and procedures to ensure duties of self are performed in a safe manner.\n\nHealth & Safety responsibilities:\n\nUnderstand applicable Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures in the workplace.\n\nReportunsafeconditionsimmediately.\n\nReport injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damageimmediately.\n\nFollowsafetyrules.\n\nComply withrequirements for the use or operation of machines or equipment.\n\nComply withPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.\n\nCreate a positive work environment bydemonstratingand sharing functional/technical knowledge.\n\nDevelop andmaintaina responsive and cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers.\n\nTreat everyone with dignity,trustand respect.\n\nCompleteadditionalduties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\nThe above is intended to describe the general contentof andthe requirements for the performance of this position.
