Join us in advancing and shaping the future of mobility.\nJob Responsibilities:\nWe are seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and support scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure. This role will drive our infrastructure automation, cloud services, and CI/CD practices across environments, with a strong emphasis on AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-codetooling.\nYou’ll be part of a high-performing team focused on rapid delivery, system reliability, and continuous improvement. Working at Magna means collaborating with engineers and designers who bring decades of experience across multiple disciplines and are passionate about building high-impact systems.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDesign and manage infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. \nBuild and support CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable deployments. \nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. \nWrite and maintain infrastructure-as-codeand configuration-as-code for all environments. \nMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and cost. \nIntegrate and manage third-party tools, plug-ins, and internal scripts as needed. \nCreate and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks and architecture diagrams. \nParticipate in on-call rotations and contribute to improving incident response processes. \nCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure infrastructure meets application and business needs. \nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully; an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in computer engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent \nExperience\n7+ years of experience working as Devops engineer. \n7+ years of DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering experience. \n5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (GCP or Azure a plus). \nStrong Linux administration skills in production environments. \nExperience managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads (Docker). \nExpertise in Terraform and infrastructure automation practices. \nProficiency in scripting with Python and Bash. \nExperience with tools like Git, Jenkins, and artifact repositories. \nFamiliarity with networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and LDAP. \nExperience with monitoring and logging systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent. \nStrong understanding of cloud networking, VPCs, security groups, and IAM policies. \nComfortable working with Agile teams and tools like JIRA and Confluence \nOn-call rotation required \nNice To Have\nExperience with Helm and managing Kubernetes via Helm charts. \nExposure to hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem). \nFamiliarity with secrets management tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager). \nExperience mentoring engineers or leading DevOps initiatives. \nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
