Candidates must have current and ongoing authorization to work in the United States.\nThe Systems Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of functional discipline engineers while still performing technical tasks (e.g. an EE team lead would still perform EE tasks while leading the team) within the project and company mandated targets.\nYour Responsibilities\nActs as primary management interface and escalation for all product system related issues.\nProvides technical leadership in directing the efforts of the team in the development and production release of all relevant engineering deliverables in compliance with the product development process and customer expectations.\nWorks with managers and other team leads to improve development processes.\nWorks with managers and other team leads to define the discipline specific target key performance indicators (KPIs)\nEnsures engineering targets (quality, delivery timing, performance, etc.) for engineering deliverables are met.Ensuring design reviews are completed and productive\nEnsures the quality of all team deliverables meet standards and timing\nEnsures that the discipline specific KPIs are met\nEnsure any required cross-functional design reviews or data sharing is completed\n\nResponsible for planning (resources, timing) as applicable\nEnsures appropriate technical supplier relationships for all relevant key suppliers.\nEnsures proper sign off on quality of event for all engineering deliverables per GPEP.\nEnsures proper engineering quote response is provided for new projects and engineering changes. As necessary, supports customer technical reviews.\nDirectly manages the team in the implementation of objectives and overall activities and effort estimates.\nParticipates in continuous improvement efforts, researches, recommends and initiates implementation of enhancements to products, processes and programs.\nEnsures all necessary engineering documentation and data is generated and maintained to ensure traceability and compliance to company procedures (e.g. Process - Work Instructions) and applicable standards (e.g. ISO/TS 16949, ISO/IEC TR 15504).\nActs as working supervisor and will perform regular engineering tasks together with the leadership role. The split of the workload will be determined by the size of the team.\nSupport system/product requirements specifications, solution definition, technical feasibility analysis, and architecture specification.\nProvides technical guidance for system design and integration engineering activities. Ensures conceptual integrity of system design.\nCreate and maintain project documentation\nLead cross functional requirements reviews\nDevelop with the support of all stakeholders the system level DFMEA for the product.\nCoordinate with Manufacturing and Software teams to develop interface requirements including EOL and module programming requirements.\nSupport creation of:Detailed discipline specific design description\nMechanical/electrical and hardware/software interface specifications\n8D reports\nTiming Plans\nOther documents, as needed\n\nSupports system testing activities of products on bench and in vehicles making sure the product functions and performs as the customer expects per requirements.\nActively pursue cost saving ideas.\nBe aware of innovative solutions and propose patent applications.\nPerform complex work assignments requiring independent problem solving and decision making, requiring strong systems engineering technical competency\nWork assignments primarily involve senior/advanced level work and may mentor other Systems Engineer.\nLead the planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting of all systems engineering related activities for various projects\nPerforms other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. Familiar with typical automotive OEM requirements. Can anticipate customer requirements, even if not stated in customer documentation.\nExperienced in use of requirements management tools.
