Dream big and create the future of mobility at Magna Electronics.\nJob Responsibilities:\nAbout the Role\nThe Vehicle Test Engineer is responsible for the validation and verification of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components and systems. This role involves executing test plans, analyzing test data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance and safety standards are met.\nYour Responsibilities\nThe role involves verification of ADAS systems on vehicle and bench test environments, including developing detailed test cases, operating testing equipment, and analyzing results to identify issues. You will collaborate with software and hardware teams to resolve problems.\nPerform manual and automated testing of ADAS.\nPlan, develop, review, and execute detailed test cases based on system requirements.\nOperate bench testing equipment, HIL systems, and vehicle testing setups.\nCollect and document test data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.\nAnalyze test results to identify issues, root causes, and system deficiencies.\nGenerate test reports, including defect logs, test summaries, and compliance documentation.\nConduct joint tests with the customer, proving test validity.\nManage suppliers for the data collection and data annotation (ground truth).\nManage and maintain test vehicles.\nPrepare and manage data measurement and test equipment (from parts/equipment purchase to builds and maintenance)\nWho we are looking for\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, or related)\n Experience\n5+ years of experience in automotive or embedded systems testing.\nHands-on experience testing ADAS systems or similar safety-critical automotive systems.\nWorking knowledge of various assessments like NCAP,ISO,R79\nKnowledge of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN).\nExperience with HIL/SIL testing platforms (dSPACE, Vector CANoe, etc.).\nProgramming Languages: Python, C/C++, LabView, Matlab, CAPL\nTest driving, Test environment construction/setup, Test process definition, Test tool operation, Troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to analyze data and generate detailed reports.\nGood communication skills and ability to work in a team.\nDetail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.\nLanguage\nFluent in Japanese and English\nDriver License\nJapanese ordinary driver license and 3+ years\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
