The Printing Assistant Operator will assist in the set-up and operation of the press while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment for maximum press efficiency production quality.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nAdheres to all safety policies and procedures while ensuring all team members work within the safety guidelines as established by Berry. \nComplete safety orientation and forklift certification training. \nAssist in the set-up and operation of the press. \nLearn to accurately test key print properties. \nUnderstanding of Quality Windows and accurate data entry. \nResponsible for ensuring all finished product is within customer specifications. \nDemonstrate trouble-shooting skills. \nAssisting maintenance whenever necessary or required. \nDemonstrate the ability to read and interpret Job Discrete Routing Sheets and how to identify raw materials by part numbers. \nUnderstanding the operations and functions of press control panels. \nUnderstand usage of MSDS sheets. \nUnderstand SOC sheets and how to properly fill out. \nEnsure proper housekeeping of the press and adjacent areas. \nEnsure proper solvent and ink handling procedures are implemented and followed. \nEnsure proper hazardous waste handling procedures are implemented and followed. \nEffectively communicate and interact professionally with all people in the work environment\nQualifications\nS. Diploma or GED \nManufacturing experience preferred.\nKnowledge of and skills in the use of office machines (computer and printers) and business procedures. Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude and experience. \nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
