With a combined legacy of resilience, Magnera will build personal partnerships that withstand an ever-changing world.\nResponsibilities\nThe Maintenance and Process Manager will review plans, direct and coordinate the maintenance and the process engineering activities of the plant. Maintenance activities include establishing and carrying out a preventative maintenance program and the corrective maintenance of all production and service equipment, buildings and grounds. Process engineering activities include leading the qualification process, troubleshooting events and continuous improvement projects.\nPlans, specifies and recommends any equipment or facilities revisions or modifications. Initiates and directs capital projects. Writes capital funding requests as required, including costs and technical specifications. Accurately records and reports activities and results. Coordinates all plant activities that involve the Division Engineering Group. Works with production units to maintain and improve plant efficiency, productivity, and processes, as well as product quality. Specify and directs activities of outside contractors and vendors.\nJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLeadership & Team Development\nLead, develop, and manage the Maintenance and Engineering teams, including Maintenance Technicians, Process Engineers, and other technical personnel. \nEstablish departmental goals, performance metrics, and development plans aligned with plant objectives.\nCoach, train, and retain highly skilled maintenance and engineering personnel. \nConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.\nPromote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety and continuous improvement.\nMaintenance & Reliability Management\nDevelop and execute preventative, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and performance.\nEstablish maintenance strategies that improve Overall Equipment EFFECTIVENESS (OEE), REDUCE DOWNTIME, AND OPTIMIZE MAINTENANCE COSTS. \nLead root cause failure analyses and corrective action efforts related to equipment and process issues.\nMonitor and improve KPIs including:\nEquipment uptime\nMean Time Between Failure (MTBF)\nMean Time To Repair (MTTR)\nPreventive Maintenance Compliance\nMaintenance Cost Performance\nEnsure timely and effective response to equipment breakdowns and operational issues\nManage maintenance planning and scheduling activities to minimize production disruptions.\nEngineering and Process Improvement\nLead process engineering efforts focused on improving safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and waste reduction.\nIdentify, evaluate, and implement equipment and process improvements.\nSupport product commercialization, process validation, and manufacturing optimization initiatives\nProvide technical expertise in troubleshooting complex manufacturing and equipment-related issues. \nDevelop engineering standards and ensure compliance with company engineering practices \nCapital Projects Management\nDevelop, justify, prioritize, and execute capital projects from concepts through startup and project closeout.\nPrepare capital request, cost estimates, project scopes, and technical specifications.\nManage project budgets, schedules, contractor activities and project risks.\nCoordinate project execution with Corporate Engineering, Operations, Finance, Purchasing and EHS\nEnsure successful equipment installations, upgrades, and startup activities.\nFacilities and Utilities Management\nMaintain responsibility for all plant infrastructure and utility systems, including: \nElectrical distribution systems\nCompressed air systems\nChillers and colling systems\nHVAC systems\nWater systems\nBoiler and other utility equipment\nEnsure plant facilities and grounds are maintained in safe and efficient operating condition\nIdentify opportunities for energy reduction and utility cost optimization.\nAutomation and Controls\nProvide leadership and support for automation and controls systems\nOversee troubleshooting and upgrades related to PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, drivers sensors, and control systems.\nSupport modernization initiatives and implementation of new automation technologies.\nCollaborate with internal and external resources on control systems improvements.\nSafety, Environmental and Regulatory Compliance\nEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and company policies and procedures.\nLead maintenance and engineering safety initiatives\nSupport machine guarding, LOTO, Confined space, electrical safety, and contractor safety programs\nEnsure all required environmental, safety, and regulatory records and reports are accurately maintained.\n\nMaintenance System and Assets Management\nOwn and administer the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\nEnsure accurate asset records, word order management, preventative maintenance scheules and maintenance reporting \nDevelop and maintain critical spare parts inventories\nAnalyze asset performance and develop long term equipment replacement strategies \nVendor Contract Management\nDevelop specification and scope of work documents for contractors and vendors\nManage contractors selection, performance, safety compliance, and project execution\nEstablish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality service and cost effective support\nQualifications\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Technology.\nLean Certification, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, PMP Certification and Reliability Certification preferred\n7-10 + years of progressive maintenance and engineering leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisor experience \n3-5 + years of leadership experience managing maintenance, process engineering, or reliability teams.\nExperience leading capital projects from concept through implementation\nExperience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs\nStrong background in manufacturing equipment, utilities, automation, and process improvement\nExperience working within
