With a combined legacy of resilience, Magnera will build personal partnerships that withstand an ever-changing world.\nResponsibilities\nJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAssist in the establishment and leadership of plant safety objectives. \nEnsure compliance to all safety policies and procedures. \nMaintain required internal certifications. \nLead, counsel, train and develop team members as appropriate. \nInitiate and deliver any required disciplinary actions for team members. \nConduct periodic performance reviews for team members. \nActively participate in team member employment decisions including hiring, promotions, and terminations. \nTrack and manage attendance data for team members. \nResponsible for individual and team compliance with applicable laws and company policies. \nEstablish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance, and process excellence. \nEstablish team and individual accountabilities for problem solving and cost reduction. \nPerform 6S, safety, process, and quality audits. \nAddress any identified gaps and ensure resolution. \nProvide coaching and feedback to team members. \nResponsible for the accurate reporting of asset quality, productivity and other required metrics. \nEnsure employees are following JSAs and confronts any unsafe acts observed. \nResolve conflicts among team members and refer issues to higher authority when needed. \nPositively communicate changes in business situations, production schedules, and company policies. \nMonitor quality and make recommendations on when to stop production based on material being out of specification in conjunction with the Process Tech and Sr. Team Leader. \nAttend downtime meetings, schedule meetings, safety meetings, asset meetings, safety reviews and down day planning meetings. \nConduct and manage Shift Handover Meetings, Natural Work Team meetings and other required team meetings. \nResponsible for the accurate completion of all paperwork including but not limited to production and downtime reports and incident reports. \nAssist operators and coordinate trouble-shooting activities. \nServe as a resource to Production Tech and Plant Leadership in resolving customer complaints. \nResponsible for fulfilling the tasks as outlined in the daily task lists. \nRequired to serve as a member of the Emergency Response team with training required in the following: Emergency Response, First Aid/CPR/BBP, Fire Extinguisher \nOther duties as assigned. \nQualifications\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalency, required. \nCollege degree, preferred. \nMinimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role, manufacturing environment preferred. \nSAP/MAPEX experience is preferred. \nPrior non-woven experience is preferred. \nSix Sigma Certification (Black or Green Belt) preferred. \nCOMPETENCIES:\nRead, write, and speak English. \nExtensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other government regulations. \nStrong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. \nStrong leadership and coaching skills. \nCapable of traveling as required. \nAbility to work in a fast paced and multi-task environment. \nSix Sigma Certification (Black or Green) and TPM -
