Builds team environment, engages team members, and models Glatfelter leadership principles.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for leading activities of daily operations of a non-woven production operation.\nPerforms all tasks in a safe manner, complies with all safety rules and ensures safety and environmental compliance among team members.\nLead daily meetings with team, reviewing safety, equipment issues, production schedules, staffing deployment and continuous improvement plans.\nAccountable for monitoring all processes and support personnel to ensure the completion of production goals.\nEnsures proper documentation of all process parameters is set within range, and deviations are completed for all out-of-control limits. \nFollows production schedule and coordinates activities with materials, maintenance, quality, and production; and escalates issues preventing our ability to attain schedule and plan. \nEnsure all paperwork, documentation, records, and procedures for production activities are completed in a timely, accurate and proper manner. \nTreats team members with respect; balancing accountable to expectations with constructive feedback and development.\nAccountable for maintaining housekeeping expectations. Conduct housekeeping audits and report findings.\nCoordinates training of team members on equipment, policies, procedures, and processes. \nAccountable for achieving Key Performance Measures; Safety, Quality, Uptime and Yield.\nLeads and participates in Lean Manufacturing/Process Improvement teams.\nAccomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.\nAudit and responds to issues on subjects such as sexual harassment, environmental, safety, discipline, EEO, etc. by using prescribed guidelines to meet governmental requirements and maintain good working relations and conditions. \nPerforms all other duties as assigned. Manage and directly supervise non-exempt, 12-hour rotating shift production team members.\nResponsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these team members, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.\nResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; determining and staffing overtime requirements. \nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in technical field/discipline preferred.\nAt least 10 years of manufacturing and/or operational experience; Non-woven/Sheet/Web manufacturing or conversion preferred.\nStrong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills. \nAbility to use judgement, gather information and facts, to make logical and compliant decisions. \nDemonstrated interpersonal skills working in a manufacturing environment. \nBasic mechanical aptitude preferred. \nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.\nAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.\nExperience with SAP or equivalent Manufacturing Operations work order software preferred.\nExperience with automated time and attendance system preferred. Strong self-starting mind-set and managerial abilities.\nExcellent supervisory and team leadership skills.\nStrong decision-making skills and escalation identification skills. \nOSHA 10 Hour Course desired\nCOMPETENCIES:\nActive Learner: Able to identify own development and learning needs.
