The Janitor plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for performing routine cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance tasks across all areas of the facility, ensuring that our spaces reflect the care and professionalism of our mission-driven organization.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform daily cleaning and sanitizing of common areas, restrooms, offices, therapy rooms, kitchens, and other facility spaces. \nSweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all designated areas to maintain cleanliness and appearance. \nRestock restroom supplies and ensure handwashing and sanitation stations are fully supplied. \nRemove trash and recyclables from designated areas and dispose of them properly. \nClean windows, mirrors, doors, and other glass surfaces as needed. \nDisinfect high-touch surfaces regularly in accordance with infection control and safety protocols. \nSet up, break down, and clean spaces before and after meetings, groups, or special events. \nReport any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager promptly. \nEnsure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored safely and properly. \nFollow all safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment while performing cleaning tasks. \nAssist with light groundskeeping duties, including sweeping walkways and maintaining exterior entrances. \nSupport emergency cleaning needs and respond promptly to spills or accidents. \nPerform all other duties as assigned. \nMinimum Qualifications\nEducation / Credentials\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nExperience\nPrevious janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred but not required. \nKnowledge / Skills\nAbility to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks for extended periods. \nStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. \nReliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. \nWillingness to follow cleaning schedules, safety protocols, and infection control procedures. \nWorking Conditions\nNon-direct care position\nPart-time or Full-time, may require occasional evening or weekend work for special events or facility needs. \nFull-time, 11am - 7:30pm from Sunday - Thursday\n\nPrimarily in-facility role with regular walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion. \nExposure to cleaning chemicals and disinfectants (protective equipment provided). \nWhy This Role Matters\nPre-Employment Requirements\nMainspring conducts, as required, job-related background checks, drug testing, TB testing, verification of employment history, and/or reference checks prior to employment.\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nMainspring is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
