Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours.\nRole context\nThis role sits on the Demand Generation team, where SEO and GEO (generative engine optimization) is a fast-growing source of pipeline. Buyers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews which maintenance software to consider, and our job is to make sure MaintainX is in that answer and described well. Today the work is run by one person. You'll help make it a team of two.\nThe role\nYou will turn our SEO and GEO strategy into shipped work, so MaintainX shows up wherever buyers search.\n\nRun content refreshes and gap pieces from brief to QA to publish, so priority pages recover and hold their rankings and AI citations.\n\nReview backlink and offsite citation prospects to keep every link we earn high quality.\n\nSupport technical SEO and keyword research, flagging issues and opportunities before they cost us traffic.\n\nBe the day-to-day contact for our web, design, content and product teams and outside vendors, turning their requests into clear next steps and following through until the work ships.\n\nDesign and run experiments with our Senior SEO/GEO Specialist to learn what moves visibility in LLMs, and document what you find.\n\nMost of your partners don't own SEO, so part of the job is explaining why a change matters so they want to make it. Our Senior Specialist will train you on our tools and processes and mentor you. Within 6 to 12 months, you'll own execution on the team's core projects, handle ad hoc requests independently, and propose experiments of your own.\nAbout you\n1 to 2 years in SEO, through a role or a strong internship\n\nHands-on keyword research and rank tracking in Semrush, Ahrefs or a similar tool\n\nA clear view of how search is changing, including how LLMs surface and cite sources\n\nTests you've run or contributed to, and what you learned from them (side projects exploring GEO count)\n\nExperience explaining technical ideas to non-technical teammates and getting them on board\n\nThe organization to juggle several projects and follow up until each is done\n\nComfort making decisions without a clear answer, because search rarely offers one\n\nNice to have\n\nScreaming Frog or other technical audit tools\n\nExposure to GEO and AEO tools such as Profound or AirOps\n\nB2B SaaS or demand generation experience\n\nWe offer\nA product worth recommending.
