RESTful APIs with careful attention to contracts, versioning, and developer experience.\n\nDesign schemas and write efficient queries across relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis) data stores.\n\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using frameworks like Jest or Vitest.\n\nCollaborate with frontend, product, and infrastructure teams to ship features end-to-end.\n\nDeploy and operate services in a cloud environment, with proper logging, metrics, and alerting.\n\nReview pull requests, mentor mid-level and junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions.\n\nMust-Haves:\nExperience collaborating with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) as a real part of your engineering practice — you know how to partner effectively, engage critically with their output, and bring human rigor to the collaboration.\n\n5+ years of backend engineering experience building and operating production systems.\n\nStrong proficiency in Node.js and its ecosystem (event loop, async patterns, streams).\n\nSolid experience with TypeScript.\n\nExperience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs.\n\nWorking familiarity with at least one NoSQL store (Cosmos DB, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, etc.).\n\nProduction experience in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).\n\nExperience with testing frameworks like Jest or Vitest.\n\nFamiliarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and the fundamentals of running services in production.\n\nNice-to-Haves:\nExperience with Microsoft Azure (Container Apps, Entra ID, Functions,
