Consultant & designer relationships\n* Build relationships with civil consultants, geotechnical engineers, infrastructure designers and project management consultants.\n* Conduct regular consultant visits and technical presentations.\n* Introduce geotextile and relevant technical textile solutions.\n* Understand upcoming projects before tender issuance.\n* Become the technical point of contact between consultants and the company.\n2. Product specification\n* Work with consultants to specify the correct product according to application and project requirements.\n* Prepare technical specifications for inclusion in tender documents.\n* Match company's products against required ASTM, EN, ISO and AASHTO standards.\n* Recommend appropriate GSM, tensile strength, puncture resistance, permeability, opening size and other required characteristics.\n* Prepare technical comparison/substitution documents against competing products.\n\n3. Technical submittals & approvals\n* Prepare and follow up:\n * Technical data sheets\n * Compliance statements\n * Material submittals\n * Test certificates\n * Method statements where required\n * Product samples\n * Technical comparison sheets\n * Consultant approval packages\n* Follow each submission until approved/rejected/revised.\n* Maintain a database of every approval the company receives.\n4. Vendor registration\n* Register with consultants, developers, contractors and relevant authorities.\n* Get us included on Approved Vendor Lists (AVL).\n* Maintain required certificates and documentation.\n* Track registration renewals and missing documentation.\n5. Project pipeline development\nThe engineer should not simply wait for Sales to give them projects.\nThey should actively identify:\nProject → Consultant → Designer → Main Contractor → Subcontractor → Tender date → Required product → Quantity → Specification → Approval status → Sales opportunity.\nEach project should then be entered into CRM.\n6. Tender & BOQ support\n* Review BOQs and technical specifications.\n* Identify tenders where products can be proposed.\n* Detect specifications written around competitors and determine whether we can technically comply.\n* Prepare technical deviations where necessary.\n* Support Sales in preparing technically compliant quotations.\n7.
