This is not a direct employment opportunity with Cook Canada.\nThe Distribution Operator 1 is responsible for ensuring the finished product is received and put away into inventory, picked, packed, and shipped in an efficient and accurate manner. The Distribution Operator 1 operates under direct supervision and may be required to deviate or make adjustments to routine problems. The Distribution Operator 1 will help to resolve routine operational issues with basic prior work experience, education, or interpretation of work instructions. Today, we build medical devices for more than 40 medical specialties.\nResponsibilities\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPerform work in compliance with local quality procedures and work instructions.\nPerform work within local Warehouse Management System, utilizing scanners and/or computers where applicable. \nMeets or exceeds expectations and/or rates established by leadership.\nParticipates in local and/or global projects where operator feedback is relevant.\nUnderstands and implements changes received from direct leadership and project teams that impact role.\nWork well with peers in team environment to support departmental goals. \nActively participates in team meetings and provides improvement ideas to leadership for review.\nEscalates any customer impacting quality issues or internal non conformances to leadership.\nMaintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.\nStrictly adhere to safety requirements.\nMaintain regular and punctual attendance.\nThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed. This position is expected to follow other job-related instructions and duties.\nQualifications\nEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma, High School Equivalency Diploma or participating in a Cook sponsored program to obtain a High School Diploma or Equivalency Diploma. \nRequires 5 years related experience, preferably in a warehouse environment\nLocal or standard WMS system knowledge required\nQualification Requirements:\nMinimum 18 years of age.\nMust have effective communication skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision.\nAble to professionally communicate thoughts and ideas. \nPositively able to receive feedback and apply to their role. \nAble to complete all tasks given from leadership. \nAbility to remain calm and focused in fast paced situations.\nAbility to read, understand, and follow written instructions.\nAbility to visually recognize product/catalog descriptions.\nAbility to work standing and be mobile for a full eight-hour day.\nPhysical Requirements:\nModerate exposure to noise level in the work environment that is moderate to occasionally loud.\nOccasionally lifts and/or moves boxes up to 75 pounds.\nFrequent repetitive motion.\nFrequently required to stand, walk, use hands to grasp, carry, feel or touch; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear.\nMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements.\nCook Medical is a privately held, Indiana-headquartered company with a global reach.
