Their primary role is to maintain accurate accounting records, supporting operations, track expenses and assist with budgeting and forecasting. We are seeking someone with a strong analytical mind and an ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.\nRequested Tasks:\nSupport and help drive a timely and accurate month-end close process \nPrepare and post all month end entries necessary to complete close in the allowed time \nPerform balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on outstanding reconciling items\nComplete daily and weekly financial balancing to ensure financial accuracy and integrity\nReview income audit reports and assist in researching and resolving discrepancies\nSupport hotel department heads with financial questions, reporting needs, and expense review\nHelp lead and coordinate the day-to-day work of the accounting staff\nAssist with monthly financial statement review alongside the Director of Finance\nProcess invoices in accordance with company policy\nReconcile vendor statements and assist with accounts payable follow-up\nMaintain organized accounting records and support operational and financial reporting needs\nRequested Capabilities:\nPrior hotel orHospitality accounting experience required\nPrevious experience in an Assistance Accounting Manager or similar accounting leadership role preferred.\nStrong understanding of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation processes\nExperience with daily revenue balancing, weekly financial review, and income audit support\nAbility to lead accounting staff and work effectively across departments\nStrong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through\nProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel\nStrong communication skills with the ability to support both accounting and operations teams\nAs part of the Makeready collection, we proudly offer a variety of thoughtful benefits and perks for eligible team members including accommodating PTO/PTO exchange, medical/dental/vision benefits, maternity/paternity leave, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care & 401k, student loan repayment program and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits.
