The role assists accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger transactions, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.\nRequested Tasks\nAccounts ReceivableMonitor guest and corporate account balances.\nReconcile city ledger and guest ledger accounts.\nFollow up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies.\nReview credit applications and maintain customer credit files.\n\nAccounts PayableVerify invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.\nProcess vendor payments according to company policies.\nReconcile supplier statements and resolve payment issues.\nMaintain accurate accounts payable records.\n\nCompliance & AuditEnsure compliance with accounting principles, local regulations, and tax requirements.\nAssist internal and external auditors during audits.\nMaintain proper documentation and filing systems.\nEnsure adherence to corporate finance policies and internal controls.\n\nHotel Operations SupportCoordinate with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Purchasing, and other departments.\nReview daily revenue reports and verify revenue postings.\nSupport revenue audits and financial analysis.\n\nRequested Capabilities\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.\n3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.\nExperience with hotel accounting systems (Opera, SunSystems, Sage, Oracle, or similar).\nStrong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nKnowledge of hotel operations and revenue accounting.\nHigh level of integrity and confidentiality.\nAs part of the Makeready collection, we proudly offer a variety of thoughtful benefits and perks for eligible team members including accommodating PTO/PTO exchange, medical/dental/vision benefits, maternity/paternity leave, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care & 401k, student loan repayment program and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits.
