From sourcing quality products and maintaining vendor relationships to managing purchase orders, receiving deliveries, and monitoring inventory, your attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence will directly contribute to the success of our hotel.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, financially mindful, and proactive, with strong communication skills and a passion for supporting a luxury hospitality environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in ensuring every department has what it needs to create extraordinary experiences.\nYOUR ROLE\nPurchasing & Procurement\nCoordinate the daily purchasing needs of hotel departments, including Food & Beverage, Culinary, Housekeeping, Engineering, Spa, Front Office, and other operational areas.\n\nObtain and compare vendor quotes, negotiate pricing when appropriate, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.\n\nMonitor outstanding purchase orders, follow up on delayed shipments, and communicate delivery updates to department leaders.\n\nEnsure purchases comply with established authorization procedures, purchasing guidelines, and financial controls.\n\nPartner with department leaders to anticipate purchasing needs based on occupancy, business levels, special events, and seasonal demands.\n\nReceiving & Inventory Management\nReceive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders.\n\nConfirm product quantities, specifications, pricing, and condition against invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders.\n\nIdentify and resolve discrepancies, shortages, damaged products, or incorrect deliveries with vendors and department leaders.\n\nMaintain organized, clean, and secure receiving areas, storage rooms, and inventory locations.\n\nAssist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and the monitoring of par levels to minimize waste and prevent shortages.\n\nEnsure proper storage and handling of food, beverages, operating supplies, and other hotel products in accordance with safety and sanitation requirements.\n\nCoordinate the distribution of received goods to the appropriate departments in a timely and efficient manner.\n\nMaintain accurate records of inventory movements, receiving documentation, and product returns.\n\nSupport monthly and periodic inventory counts and assist in identifying discrepancies.\n\nVendor Relations & Departmental Support\nDevelop and maintain positive, professional relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal department leaders.\n\nCommunicate effectively with vendors regarding orders, delivery schedules, pricing, product availability, and returns.\n\nRespond promptly to departmental purchasing requests and provide timely updates regarding order status.\n\nCollaborate with Culinary and Food & Beverage leaders to ensure the consistent availability of quality products for restaurant, banquet, and in-room dining operations.\n\nSupport special events, seasonal promotions, and hotel initiatives by coordinating purchasing and delivery requirements.\n\nResearch alternative suppliers and products when necessary to maintain quality and operational continuity.\n\nDemonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a service-minded approach in every interaction.\n\nOperational Excellence & Compliance\nMaintain accurate purchasing and receiving records in accordance with Marriott, Makeready, and hotel policies.\n\nEnsure compliance with applicable food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and inventory storage requirements.\n\nSupport hotel sustainability initiatives by identifying environmentally responsible purchasing opportunities and reducing unnecessary waste.\n\nMaintain confidentiality regarding vendor pricing, contracts, purchasing agreements, and financial information.\n\nAssist with maintaining an organized and efficient purchasing operation that supports Forbes Travel Guide and Marriott Luxury Collection service expectations.\n\nPerform additional purchasing, receiving, and inventory-related duties as assigned.\n\nWHAT YOU BRING\nMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, receiving, inventory management, or a related administrative or operational role.\n\nPrevious experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or hospitality environment preferred.\n\nLuxury hotel or Marriott experience is a plus.\n\nStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nBasic understanding of purchasing procedures, inventory control, vendor management, and cost-conscious procurement practices.\n\nAbility to review purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, and financial documentation accurately.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.\n\nExperience with purchasing, inventory management, or hotel financial systems preferred.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple hotel departments.\n\nExcellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize competing requests in a fast-paced environment.\n\nStrong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving purchasing and receiving discrepancies.\n\nAbility to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.\n\nA professional, dependable, and
