You'll join a stable Iowa company where reliability is appreciated, hard work is recognized, and your impact is visible every day.\nWhat You'll Do\nKeep Our Fleet Road-Ready\nPerform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and DEF refills\nInspect and service brakes, tires, steering, suspension, batteries, and lighting systems\nComplete lift gate maintenance, safety checks, and minor hydraulic or electrical repairs\nMaintain truck boxes, seals, roll-up doors, swing doors, and related components\nPerform minor welding, cable replacements, and roller adjustments as needed\nTrack service schedules and maintenance records through Samsara fleet management software\nMaintain inventory of commonly used truck parts\nSupport Warehouse Equipment\nPerform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment\nInspect hydraulic systems, batteries, chargers, forks, mast components, and safety systems\nCoordinate repairs with outside service providers when needed\nHelp ensure warehouse equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready for daily use\nHelp Keep Operations Running Smoothly\nShuttle trucks and vans to repair vendors for major service work\nMaintain accurate maintenance records for compliance and scheduling\nCommunicate equipment downtime and repair priorities with managers and team members\nSupport fleet and equipment needs across departments\nWhat We're Looking For\n2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, automotive technician, fleet technician, or similar role preferred\nStrong understanding of preventive maintenance for trucks, vans, forklifts, and warehouse equipment\nExperience working with lift gates, truck boxes, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and forklifts is a plus\nAbility to diagnose issues and complete minor to moderate repairs independently\nBasic computer skills\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nReliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment\nValid driver's license required\nBonus Opportunity\nOccasional travel to our Tiffin or Urbandale locations may be needed to support other technicians or provide coverage when necessary.\nPhysical Requirements\nStanding, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing throughout the day\nAbility to safely maneuver equipment and products weighing up to 150 lbs.\nComfortable working at varying heights\nSchedule & Work Environment\nFull-time, 40 hours per week\nTypically Monday-Friday, with occasional urgent weekend repairs as needed\nSome schedules may be Tuesday-Saturday\nWork in a shop and yard environment, including occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions\nWhy Homemakers?\n?
