You have opinions on the latest streamer drama, the indie game everyone’s sleeping on, and whose merch is actually fire. What if you could get paid to be this chronically online?\nAs a Business Development Rep (Emerging Legend Hunter) at Makeship, you’ll be the first point of contact for the Creators and brands we want to work with, from gaming and anime to lifestyle and pets. You’ll find them, reach out, and start the conversations that bring them onto our platform, where they turn their communities into limited-edition products their Fans love.\nThis is a new team with real room to grow. Help shape how the team works and lift the people around you, and there’s a path into leadership.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nWe are looking for a Business Development Rep who’ll play a key role in helping us identify and partner with content Creators and brands that are ideal fits for Makeship’s core service offering, helping to drive our top-of-funnel business outreach.\nSomeone who lives online. Gaming, streaming, YouTube, Discord, Twitch fandoms: you know the difference between a trend and a fad\nAn adaptable and resilient self-starter who gets things done, and gets a little competitive about it\nA hunter’s instinct. You love digging for the opportunities others miss, and you take pride in bringing in the right ones\nSelf-awareness. You take feedback well and actually use it\nPassion, curiosity, persistence, and comfort reaching out to people you’ve never met\nWe care more about how you think than what’s on your resume\nYour Key Responsibilities\nScout content Creators, streamers, and entertainment brands that are a great fit for Makeship\nReach out and start real relationships before they join our platform\nDrive our top-of-funnel outreach and build a pipeline of future partners, getting the best opportunities into the hands of our Account Executives\nKeep your pipeline organized in our CRM, and use automation to stay connected with Creators who aren’t quite ready yet\nBring what you’re seeing in internet culture back to the team, so we stay ahead of what’s next\nLearn the playbook, run the plays, and tell us what to upgrade\nWhat You Bring\nYou’re an internet nerd (compliment). You care about Creators, characters, and the communities around them\nA year or two as a BDR or SDR, or experience reaching out to Creators and influencers for a brand or agency\nYou own your work. When something’s on your plate, you see it through\nYou’re a great listener and a clear communicator, in DMs, emails, and on calls\nYou stay organized when you’re juggling a lot of conversations at once\nYou get creative when the usual approach isn’t working\nBonus\nExperience working in a CRM, and a knack for turning what’s working into something repeatable.
