You will also be joining one of Canada's fastest-growing start-ups!\nWhat We Are Looking For\nWe're looking for a Product Designerto create intuitive, valuable, and visually engaging experiences for fans looking to support the creators they love. Working within a cross-functional team alongside Product and Engineering, you'll play a key role across the full product development cycle, from problem discovery and solution design to validation and final execution. Balancing research, ideation, and high-fidelity execution, you'll focus on our fan-facing platform, ensuring every interaction is seamless, impactful, and aligned with Makeship's mission.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nDesign valuable and usable experiences from ideation through to production-ready designs\nFollow fundamentals of good UI design to create polished interfaces across all devices\nBase design decisions on layout, hierarchy, typography, colour, and motion with strong rationale\nContribute to and help maintain our design system as the platform evolves\nConduct user research and usability testing to validate assumptions and inform design decisions\nPartner closely with product, engineering, and brand to ship a cohesive, high-quality product\nProactively identify usability issues, both small and large, and propose solutions\nWhat You Bring\n3+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of design solutions\nExperience with user research and usability testing techniques (e.g. user interviews, usability testing, assumption testing)\nStrong UI craft, with an eye for layout, typography, and visual polish\nExperience working within and contributing to a design system\nComfort collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing\nExperience designing B2C products, ideally involving content discovery, browsing, or shopping-style experiences\nBonus\nExperience in e-commerce or crowdfunding\nExperience working in the creator economy\nExperience on a growth-focused team\nFamiliarity with accessibility standards\nBenefits & Perks\nWork remotely anywhere in Canada and/or access any of our hubs\nHealth and dental benefits from day 1\n4 weeks of paid vacation (including paid time off on your birthday)\nAn additional 1 week of paid time off during the winter holidays\nVirtual & In-Person Social Events\nAnnual Paid Volunteer Day Off\n1:1 RRSP Matching Program Up to 3%\n$500 Pre-Tax Annual Health & Wellness Allowance\n$400 Pre-Tax Home Office Setup Allowance\n$65 Pre-Tax Monthly Phone Allowance\nMaternity and Parental Leave Top-Up Program\nEducation Assistance Program\nEmployee Referral Program\nTenured Rewards Program\nSalary Band:$85-100k CAD per annum.
