The role provides strategic and operational direction, ensuring operational excellence, service delivery, compliance, quality standards and employee performance are achieved across all operational areas. The Operations Manager manages all Warehouse based staff, aligning departmental activity with business objectives and future growth requirements.Key Responsibilities\nOperational Leadership\nLead all warehouse and technical operational activities\nMaintain accountability for Goods In, Testing, Booking In, Storage, Picking, Building, Packing and Dispatch operations\nEnsure operational processes are documented, maintained and consistently applied\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality and customer experience\nImplements business change initiatives and leads teams through change\nResponsible for defining KPIs and targets for Warehouse based teams\nMonitor and report departmental KPIs and performance metrics and act on deviations\nLead operational planning and resource allocation activities\nPeople Management\nDirectly manage Team Lead and all Technical and Warehouse staff, overseeing departmental performance\nConduct performance reviews, probation reviews and annual appraisals for all Warehouse based staff\nIdentify capability gaps and support employee development\nPrepare training plans for all Warehouse based staff\nManage employee relations issues in conjunction with HR\nLead recruitment, onboarding and succession planning activities\nPromote a positive, accountable and high-performing culture\nQuality, Compliance & Health and SafetyEnsure compliance with company policies, ISO requirements and regulatory obligations\nAccountable for ensuring SOPs are up to date\nApprove new or changed processes\nOwn product quality, inspection and grading standards\nOversee stock accuracy, inventory controls and audit activities\nLead health and safety compliance, investigations and corrective actions\nEnsure export control, data security and product compliance requirements are met\nFinancial & Commercial ManagementContribute to departmental budget planning and cost management and reports these to the UK Financial Director and Group Operations Director accordingly\nManage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance\nUnderstands operational cost drivers and identifies opportunities for cost efficiency\nReview departmental expenditure and ensures spend remains within agreed budgets\nProvide input into forecasting, resource planning and investment decisions\nStakeholder Management\nWork collaboratively with other departments and senior management\nIs part of group wide Leadership team, representing UK Operations from a strategic perspective\nCommunicate operational performance, risks and improvement opportunities to leadership\nSupports supplier selection and commercial decision-making\nBalances operational performance with commercial objectives and customer expectations\nKnowledge, Skills & Experience\nEssential\nMinimum 5 years' leadership or management experience within warehouse, logistics or operational environments\nExperience managing multiple teams and operational functions\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nExperience implementing operational improvement initiatives\nGood understanding of inventory control, quality management and health and safety requirements\nStrong Microsoft 365 skills, in particular advanced Excel\nDesirableExperience within refurbishment, technology, logistics or manufacturing operations\nManagement qualification or equivalent leadership training\nKnowledge of ISO standards and audit processes\nExperience working with Microsoft Business Central\nCertified in IOSH Managing Safety Training\n Salary: Up to £50,000 per
