This role supports Makino Asia's R&D objectives by delivering reliable, high-performance, and safe mechanical designs that meet product quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and evaluate mechanical systems for EDM machines, including motion drive systems, machine structures and mechanisms, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic systems.\nSupport prototype assembly, system integration, commissioning, and testing activities during the product development phase.\nAnalyze test results and implement design improvements or corrective actions to enhance machine performance, reliability, stability, and manufacturability.\nCollaborate closely with electrical, software, manufacturing, and application engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support cross-functional projects.\nPrepare and maintain engineering documentation, including mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, test reports, design change records, and technical documents.\nEnsure compliance with Makino's quality standards, engineering processes, and QEHS requirements.\nProvide technical and engineering support to manufacturing, service, and customer support teams when required.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and engineering processes.\nRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.\nBasic knowledge of mechanical systems, precision machinery, and motion control mechanisms.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.\nGood teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.\nWillingness to travel for on-site customer support, machine commissioning, and service activities when required.\nCustomer-focused mindset with a strong interest in high-precision manufacturing and machine tool technologies.\nPrior experience or exposure to machine tools, EDM machines, or related industries will be an added advantage.\nStrong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies and engineering
