For more information please visit our website at www.malabs.com\nThe Senior Accountant, Accounts Payable, is responsible for the daily Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. This role supports financial operations through the accuracy of AP activities, vendor management, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives.\nThe position reports to the AP Sr. Accounting Manager.\n Responsibilities:\nManage day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of high-volume invoices and payments.\nReview and approve invoices, payment requests, and vendor account reconciliations.\nEnsure accurate verification of purchase orders, pricing, freight charges, and supporting documentation.\nInvestigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor disputes, and payment issues.\nMonitor vendor accounts and maintain positive vendor relationships.\nOversee account reconciliations and support month-end and year-end closing activities.\nDevelop and maintain AP procedures, internal controls, and best practices.\nAnalyze workflows and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.\nPrepare AP reports, aging schedules, and payment status updates for management.\nCollaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth transaction processing.\nTrain and support AP staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.\nAssist with internal and external audits as needed.\n Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.\n5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable or accounting experience,\nStrong knowledge of AP processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.\nExperience handling high-volume invoice processing and inventory-related transactions.\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience with ERP systems and AP automation tools preferred.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nBenefits:\n Base Salary \nAnnual Bonus Program*\nHealth Insurance (medical, dental, vision, other optional insurances)\nPaid Holidays, Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Leave\n401(k) Program\nEmployee Referral Program \nEmployee Discounts\nEmployee Appreciation Events\nOur EEOC Statement:\nMa Labs welcomes and encourages diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
