The work you ship will directly support communities when they need it most.\nKey Responsibilities\nPartner with product, design, data, and operations colleagues across every stage of product development.\nEnvision and build new capabilities that help nonprofit partners arrange emergency housing for the people they serve.\nDevelop tools that expand a global supply of free or discounted housing and support donation efforts.\nWork with engineering and data teammates to break longer-term projects into clear, deliverable milestones.\nUse data insights and research to identify opportunities for improvement and advocate for them.\nRamp up quickly in large, unfamiliar codebases to deliver program-specific features within an established product ecosystem.\nAdapt quickly as responsibilities evolve in response to emerging global needs.\nQualifications\nRequired\n8+ years of professional software engineering experience.\nProven experience designing, implementing, and deploying long-term initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional partners.\nStrong full-stack development experience, ideally with React and TypeScript on the front end and Java or Kotlin on the back end.\nSolid understanding of engineering best practices, continuous integration, and incremental delivery.\nExpertise in designing and scaling APIs and the services behind them.\nComfort using data insights and user research to make the case for product improvements.\nPreferred\nDemonstrated interest in social impact or mission-driven work.\nFamiliarity with GraphQL.\nFluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.\nStrong design and user experience sensibilities.\nKey Details\nStart Date: November 17, 2026\n Duration: Approximately 10 months (through September 2027)\n Location: Remote (within the U.S.)\nWork Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week\n Pay Rate: $88 -
