AI & Automation Engineer / Sales Focus

You'll join Malt's AI & Automation Team to build the AI & Automation backbone of our commercial organization. Working hand in hand with commercial leadership and reps, you'll design the workflows that keep our CRM sharp, surface the right signal at the right time, and power a highly personalized outreach machine. You'll also be the team's eyes on what's next in AI & automation, testing new ideas with beta users and pushing the ones that work into production.
Key responsibilities
Design and build AI & Automation workflows (n8n, Dust, and more) integrating Salesforce, enrichment providers, and other data sources to keep CRM data accurate and complete.
Manage and maintain integrations across the commercial tool ecosystem (e.g., Aircall, Modjo, Clay) to ensure seamless data flow and eliminate manual syncs.
Detect buying signals (company changes, job moves, funding, market shifts) and route them into commercial workflows so reps act at the right moment.
Build and scale a highly personalized outreach engine, using LLMs to tailor messaging for the commercial team at scale.
Identify beta testers among the commercial team, run experiments, and iterate quickly based on feedback and data.
Track AI & automation trends through ongoing tech watch, and bring back new ideas, tools, and patterns.
Implement reliability patterns and document the architecture of the workflows you ship.
Partner closely with commercial leadership and reps to prioritize the roadmap and train users on new tools.
About you
Engineering background: You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering (Bac+5 or equivalent), combining technical rigor with a strong business sensitivity to bridge tech and commercial teams.
Automations & Integrations: You have hands-on experience building workflows (n8n, Make, Zapier) and connecting commercial stack tools (Salesforce, Aircall, Modjo, Clay) via native integrations, APIs, or webhooks.
AI & Data stack: You are comfortable with the LLM/AI ecosystem (OpenAI API, Dust, LangChain, Mistral) and solid with SQL and scripting (Python/JavaScript) to connect systems end-to-end.
Commercial empathy: You understand sales processes and genuinely enjoy working close to commercial teams to remove their daily friction.
Languages: You have professional working proficiency in English.
