The FSE installs company products, performs preventive maintenance, performs diagnostics & troubleshooting, and repairs for all company products. The Micromeritics Customer Experience mission is accomplished through the field service organization.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMaintain the health and safety of our employees, customers, and communities as a top priority.\nAdheres to the company code of ethics and professional engineering standards. \nTravels within their assigned territory by car, train, or plane and provides installation and support of Micromeritics’ instruments.\nPerforms service activities in conformance with (GLP) good laboratory practices.\nMaintains prompt professional communications with customers and internal staff and provides customer support to customers via phone and/or email. \nPerform field-based maintenance and repair of all company instruments. \nPerforms field-based inspection and troubleshooting. \nConducts repairs of instruments, orders, and replaces place parts or components for malfunctioning instruments. \nCompletes reports, logs and service documentation and repairs in conformance to good laboratory practices. \nActively promotes company service products and offerings and markets company service products and contracts.\nProvide service reports related to product reliability/warranty. \nContributes to documentation and records by revising up-to-date manuals, service notes, drawings, and other materials required to maintain best practices.\nResponsible for maintaining assigned equipment and tools, including company vehicles, parts, IT devices, and documentation.\nMaintain accurate and organised spare parts inventories, tools, and safety supplies. \nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE\nExperience installing, performing maintenance, troubleshooting and supporting end-user utilisation of particle characterization or scientific instruments.\nAssociate degree, or 2+ years specialised training of electrical systems, mechatronics, industrial systems, or related fields.\nUnderstands electronic systems technology including circuits, wiring/connectors, analog/digital communications, power adapters and transformers.\nUnderstands mechanical and plumbing systems including gas distribution, flow and pressure chambers.\nKnows how to use various testing devices such as multimeters, flow meters, and other tools used to measure electronic and mechanical systems.\nAbout us - Malvern Panalytical, Micromeritics and SciAps.\nTogether we are a powerful and highly complementary combination of market leading technologies.\nWe are the toolmakers for the world's most innovative companies, academic institutions, and government laboratories.
