This role ensures that operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Mammoet standards, customer expectations, business plans, and established budgets.\nThe Operations Manager brings clarity to complex operational situations and establishes practical, organized methods for executing work. This position coordinates personnel, equipment, projects, and other resources while remaining flexible and responsive when priorities or project requirements change.\nWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHE-Q)\nPromote and lead a strong safety culture, serving as a role model for safe work practices.\nEnsure operational activities comply with Mammoet SHE-Q standards, procedures, and applicable legislation.\nLead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and the communication of safety alerts and relevant information.\nConduct and support workplace inspections and address identified safety concerns.\nEnsure work is planned and executed safely for employees, customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.\n2. Operations Management\nLead and manage the day-to-day operations function to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer requirements.\nOversee union operational activities, coordinating with the appropriate departments to ensure compliance with applicable collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and established labor practices.\nDevelop and implement practical execution plans for projects and operational activities.\nCoordinate the mobilization and demobilization of personnel, and other resources.\nOptimize the utilization of personnel, equipment, and fleet resources.\nIdentify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.\nProvide guidance and mentorship to planners, supervisors, and other operational personnel.\n3. People Management\nLead, motivate, develop, and support operational field and office employees in accordance with Mammoet policies and procedures.\nProvide leadership and oversight of union operational teams, promoting effective coordination, accountability, and alignment with organizational objectives.\nManage local workforce planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels and competencies.\nEnsure competency matrices and qualification requirements are properly applied.\nEnsure employees are appropriately trained and competent for assigned work.\nSupport effective handover and knowledge-transfer processes.\nConduct and/or support performance appraisals and employee development activities.\nIdentify talent and development opportunities within the operations organization.\nFoster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.\n4. Business & Year Planning\nDevelop departmental workforce plans in collaboration with management.\nEstablish schedules for planned operational activities and monitor progress against established objectives.\nEnsure operational priorities support business goals, customer commitments, and financial targets.\n5. Project & Contract Management\nSupport effective execution of projects in accordance with project requirements, and internal standards.\nCoordinate with project team and internal stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are understood and met.\nMonitor operational performance against established project plans.\nIdentify potential operational, contractual, or resource-related issues and develop appropriate solutions.\nEnsure changes in project scope or operational requirements are communicated and addressed appropriately.\n6. Cost & Resource Management\nManage operational costs and investments in an efficient and responsible manner while maintaining quality and safety standards.\nOptimize labor\nReview resource requirements and identify opportunities for improved utilization and cost efficiency.\n7. Reporting & Business Information\nProvide accurate and timely operational reporting to management.\nMonitor quantitative and qualitative operational performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.\nEnsure management is informed of business-critical issues and developments.\nPrepare periodic and ad-hoc reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.\nUse operational data and reporting to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.\n8. Administration & Compliance\nCoordinate, execute, maintain, and improve departmental administrative processes and systems.\nEnsure applicable operational documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with internal requirements.\nReview and approve employee timesheets.\nEnsure activities comply with Mammoet's Operating Model, Authorization Matrix, Business Control Framework, and other applicable company procedures.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business, or another relevant technical discipline preferred.\nMinimum of 12 years of broad and relevant industry experience, preferably within heavy lifting, transportation, construction, civil engineering, oil and gas, offshore, ports, mining, or related industries.\nDemonstrated experience in an operations management or comparable leadership role.\nWorking knowledge of union operations, collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), and applicable labor practices preferred. Ability to effectively manage union operations while collaborating with the appropriate departments on labor-related matters.\nExperience managing operational personnel, equipment, projects, and resources.\nStrong understanding of HLT (Heavy Lifting & Transportation) equipment and operations.\nProfessional-level experience in project management and contract management.\nProfessional-level people-management experience.\nExperience with operational planning, resource utilization, fleet management, and equipment coordination.\nExperience working with OPS systems/subsystems and Microsoft Office.\nFluent proficiency in written and spoken English.\nMammoet Academy courses, or willingness to complete required training.\nCore Competencies\nLeadership & People Management: Ability to lead,
