The Assistant Accountant reports to the Financial Controller.\nAs Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nResponsible for the monitoring, stocktaking and month end closing of SCM system.\nAssist to prepare various financial and management reports\nAssist the Financial Controller in enforcing the systems of internal controls\nEnsure that Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group accounting policies are strictly adhered to\nAssist the Financial Controller in the preparation of annual budgeting and forecasting\nFind ways to improve the efficiency of the operations that will benefit our clients\nFind ways of maximising and increasing sales and/or yield (in revenue centres)\n Propose and initiate when approved, new services and products for our guests\nFind methods of reducing costs without affecting the level of service or product received by the guests.\nAs Assistant Accountant, we expect from you:\nDegree in Accountancy or related disciplines is preferred\nAbove 3 years of relevant experience\nPrevious experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage\nFamiliar with experience in computerized accounting system, SUN System\nGood command of written & spoken English & Chinese\nSelf-initiative, attentive to details and with excellent interpersonal and communication skills\nProactive, detailed-oriented, hands on, multi-tasking and able to work independently and under pressure\nImmediate availability will be an advantage.\nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development.
