With 181 rooms and suites, exceptional restaurants, and a passionate team of professionals, the hotel embodies our mission to transform the ordinary into the exceptional every single day.\nAbout the Job\nBased at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, within the Ottolenghi Department, the Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in the management of the restaurant, ensuring the smooth running of the service and customer satisfaction for all services provided, in accordance with quality standards, HACCP hygiene standards, and procedures in force within the hotel, and supervising a team of around twenty employees.\nAs Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for:\nParticipate in the development of schedules based on planned activity. \nHave the necessary knowledge and skills of the Infrasis POS, be able to train/assist servers in the use of the system and apply the necessary controls. \nAssist subordinates in service. \nEnsure customer satisfaction by visiting them during their meal. \nForward customer comments on food and service to the Restaurant Manager and Chef Ottolenghi \nRespond to specific customer requests as necessary \nHandle customer complaints and comments \nDemonstrate interpersonal skills (interpersonal skills) to build customer loyalty \nAdhere to and apply the Mandarin Oriental principles set out in ‘Our Commitments’ \nAs Assistant Restaurant Manager we expect from you:\nA passion for service and attention to detail. \nPrevious management and service experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment preferred. \nTeam spirit, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow. \nGood communication skills and a flexible attitude. \nFluency in English and French, another European language is a plus. \nA valid Swiss work permit or EU passport. \nOur Commitment to You\nLearning & Development - Your success is our success.
