Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi offers award-winning 5-star luxury hospitality and authentic local experiences with 390 luxurious rooms and suites along with award-winning culinary cuisines.\nAbout the job\nBased at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Guest Relations Department, the Boutique Sales Agent is responsible for, but not limited to assist in-house guests and customers in finding the required products in our retail shop, perform Point of Sales activities including purchasing the required products. In addition, the boutique sales agent will assist in Guest Relations administration duties including but not limited to searching for guest information, ordering amenities and guest recognition reporting. The Boutiques Sales Agent reports to the Guest Relations Manager.\nAsBoutique Sales Agent, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nEnsure a warm friendly welcome to all guests at all times.\nRecommend, select and help locate the right products.\nBe able to describe a product's features and benefits.\nDemonstrate the use and operation of the product.\nAble to answer customers queries regarding the shop and the merchandise.\nMake suggestions and encourage purchase of products.\nReceive and process cash, and credit card payments.\nGift wrap merchandise.\nMaintain sales records.\nOrganize and process merchandise exchanges.\nStay up to date with sales prices.\nRecognize and monitor security issues.\nArrange and display merchandise.\nKeep merchandise area tidy.\nPrepare monthly inventory.\nMust attend all training courses as deemed necessary.\nRecognize the importance of \"sales\" in every aspect of their role and be responsible for achieving set sales targets.\nAbility to perform opening and closing duties.\nStrong research skills to identify guest profiles and preferences.\nAllocation and ordering of amenities for hotel guest in line with the guest relations guidelines.\nAssists guest relations department with emails and follows ups.\nIt is part of your role to understand and comply with all corporate and hotel policies and standard operating procedures.\nMOHG Code of Conduct requires that all business activities and business decisions comply with the general law, with all rules, regulations, and other requirements.\nIt is part of your role and your responsibility to fully support all learning and development activities.\nEnsure that all standards of LQE and Forbes are followed consistently.\nYou shall take all reasonable steps to safeguard stored information, and not divulge or otherwise transfer any personal data concerning the guests, customers or colleagues, or any confidential information concerning the hotel unless with the appropriate authority.\nUse of the hotel’s network, computers or internet access which is in the hotel’s view unreasonable or inappropriate, for example gambling, chatroom, or pornographic material, is a serious breach of hotel policy and grounds for summary dismissal.\nSupport and adhere to all policies & procedures relating to Safe, Sound and Sustainable at Mandarin Oriental.\nEnsure compliance with the MOHG Social Media Policy, i.e. to be fully responsible for the content you publish on any social media platform, including your personal site.\nMust have good telephone skills and follow required telephone etiquette.\nMust show a professional attitude at all times, particularly with regard to punctuality, appearance and general manner.\nWill perform as a professional, with a friendly business attitude and conduct all duties and responsibilities as required by the position or assigned by the management.\nAs Boutique Sales Agent, we expect from you:\nPrevious experience in the same role in luxury property, resort experience is a plus.\nSenior School qualification or equivalent is a must.\nKnowledge of sales principles.\nRelevant product knowledge and training.\nBasic business administration knowledge.\nPrevious experience working in the Middle East Region is an advantage.\nGood knowledge on computer systems is a must.\nClear communication; effective verbal and written communication skills in English (minimum intermediate level).\nAbility to understand guest needs and expectations and to deliver superior customer service with little input from others.\nMature and outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills.\nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development.
