The hotel comprises 136 rooms and suites, four restaurants, one bar together with a variety of meeting facilities, a Spa and a fitness room.\nAbout the job\nBased at the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, within the Culinary department, the Senior Chef de Partie is responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Sous chef to supervise and run all sections at the kitchen they have been assigned to. The Senior Chef de Partie reports to the Head Chef.\nAs Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nLeading your assigned kitchen station and ensuring smooth daily operations while adhering to all quality and hygiene standards\n\nEnsuring flawless preparation, high quality, and attractive presentation of dishes in line with our elevated culinary expectations\n\nActively controlling and minimizing food waste through efficient and forward-thinking work practices\n\nContributing creatively and supporting the development of new dishes and food concepts\n\nRequesting supplies in coordination with your supervisor and monitoring the daily goods receipt\n\nOverseeing daily hygiene controls and ensuring cleanliness in accordance with HACCP guidelines\n\nAs Chef de Partie, we expect from you:\nA completed culinary apprenticeship and 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in upscale hospitality or gastronomy\n\nHigh flexibility and resilience, including availability for weekend and holiday shifts\n\nCreativity, strong attention to detail, and the willingness to bring your own culinary signature to the team\n\nExcellent communication skills, strong teamwork abilities, and well-developed organizational competence\n\nLeadership strength and experience in supervising your own station\n\nCommitment, a structured and independent working style, and a strong sense of quality\n\nVery good German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage\n\nOur commitment to you:\nLearning & Development.
