All of our exquisite rooms and suites are uniquely decorated by Patricia Urquiola.\nRegarding the hotel's gastronomy, we offer a diverse culinary experience through our renowned outlets, including Restaurant Blanc, where guests enjoy sophisticated all-day dining in an elegant and vibrant atmosphere.\nAbout the job\nBased at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, within the Food & Beverage Department, the Chef de Rang is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences through professional, attentive and personalized service, ensuring the highest standards of luxury hospitality are consistently achieved. The Chef de Rang reports directly to the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager.\nAs Chef de Rang, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nDeliver exceptional and personalized food & beverage service in accordance with Mandarin Oriental standards.\nTake food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently while providing menu recommendations and product knowledge.\nEnsure the correct setup, cleanliness and presentation of the assigned station before, during and after service.\nCoordinate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams to guarantee timely service delivery.\nAnticipate guest needs, handle requests and resolve concerns professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.\nMaintain excellent knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, wine list and daily specials.\nProcess payments accurately and follow all cash handling procedures when required.\nSupport colleagues and contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.\nAs Chef de Rang, we expect from you:\nStrong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving abilities.\nPassion for luxury hospitality and exceptional guest service.\nPrevious experience as Chef de Rang, Waiter/Waitress or similar role in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.\nExcellent food and beverage knowledge; wine knowledge will be considered an advantage.\nHighly responsible, professional and reliable.\nAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality service.\nAbility to work cohesively as part of a multicultural team.\nAbility to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in luxury hospitality or fine dining establishments.\nFluent English and Spanish; additional languages will be valued.\nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development\nYour success is our success.
