Located in the heart of Msheireb Downtown Doha, within walking distance to Souq Waqif, Museum of Islamic Art and a short distance to the business district, West Bay.\nAbout the job\nBased at Mandarin Oriental, Doha within the Commercial Strategy Department in Doha, the Conference & Events Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a seamless turnover from Sales to Operations, and from Operations back to Sales, maintaining successful planning and execution of conferences, events, outside catering, and group bookings within MODOH. This role plays a critical part in supporting the pro-active sales team by taking over all confirmed events post-contract signature. While not responsible for generating leads, the Executive maintains direct communication with the client during the planning and execution phase, including internal coordination and post-event feedback. The Conference & Events Coordinator reports to the Director of Conference & Events.\nAs Conference & Events Coordinator,you will be re sponsible for the following duties:\nAssist the Team in all upcoming tasks within Commercial Strategy but also beyond.\nTo ensure that Mandarin Oriental, Doha’s grooming and appearance standards are implemented and maintained to reflect an image of professionalism and care.\nAdhere to the established conference and events sales administration, client history and tracing system within the department.\nProvide customers with prompt service to fulfil their need within our operational capabilities.\nResponsible for an organized filing system.\nGenerate reports when requested and within the specified time.\nAs Conference & Events Coordinator, we expect from you:\nMotivated and confident\nProfessional and humble\nSenior school qualifications\nDegree or Higher National Diploma equivalent in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management\nPrevious experience in the GCC an advantage.\nMust be excellent in using computer and well versed in all computer applications\nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development.
