This Belle Époque palace, located in Madrid’s renowned Art Triangle, combines over a century of history with contemporary elegance, offering exceptional gastronomy, refined service and curated experiences for both leisure and business travellers.\nAbout the job\nBased at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, within the Deessa Department in Madrid, the Commis Cook supports the kitchen team in the preparation, handling and presentation of culinary products, ensuring quality, hygiene and safety standards are consistently met. The role reports to the Chef de Partie, and in their absence, tothe First or Second Chef de Cuisine.\nAs Commis Cook, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nSupport daily kitchen operations and food preparation according to Mandarin Oriental standards.\nAssist across different Food & Beverage outlets when operationally required.\nPrepare basic culinary items under supervision and complete assigned mise en place tasks.\nEnsure proper handling, storage and conservation of food products and ingredients.\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, equipment and utensils.\nFollow food safety, hygiene, HACCP, Safe & Sound and FLHSSE standards at all times.\nWork collaboratively with kitchen colleagues and other hotel departments.\nAs Commis Cook, we expect from you:\nPrevious experience in a Michelin kitchen environment, preferably within hospitality or luxury settings.\nWillingness to learn and develop culinary skills under supervision.\nStrong sense of responsibility, teamwork and attention to detail.\nAbility to remain calm, organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment.\nCommitment to quality, safety and Mandarin Oriental values.\nOur commitment & benefits\nLearning & Development.
