This role focuses on electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and preventive maintenance to ensure the hotel operates safely, efficiently, and in line with Mandarin Oriental’s high standards. The intern reports to the Chief Engineer and works closely with the Engineering team.\nAs Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nElectrical & Mechanical Support\nAssist in monitoring and maintaining electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control panels.\nSupport routine checks and servicing of mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, and HVAC systems.\nHelp troubleshoot minor electrical and mechanical issues under supervision.\nOperations & Maintenance\nAssist in preventive maintenance schedules for electrical and mechanical systems.\nSupport daily inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.\nRecord and report maintenance needs or irregularities to supervisors.\nAdministration & Documentation\nUpdate maintenance logs, checklists, and engineering reports.\nAssist in inventory management of tools, spare parts, and engineering supplies.\nSupport scheduling and documentation for engineering trainees.\nEvent & Special Projects\nAssist in preparing technical setups for VIP events or special functions.\nSupport energy-saving and sustainability initiatives within the hotel.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nPerform other tasks as required to support the Engineering department.\nWhat We Expect from You\nCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.\nStrong interest in hotel engineering operations and technical systems.\nBasic knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles.\nGood command of English and strong organizational skills.\nDetail-oriented, reliable, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development.
