Our spa introduces Boston to world-acclaimed and unique Mandarin Oriental therapies.\nAbout the job\nBased at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston within the Food & Beverage department in Boston, Massachusetts, the Executive Banquet Chef will take full responsibility for the Banquets and Culinary operation of the hotel. He/she will oversee the overall organization, ensuring the implementation and consistency of the standards of service and execution of policies and procedures.\nThe Executive Banquet Chef reports to the Director of Food & Beverage.\nAsExecutive Banquet Chef, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nLead the banquet kitchen team\nCoordinate all Banquet Events\nCreate innovative menus\nPartner with hotel restaurant, Ramsay's Kitchen, on all functions and guest satisfaction\nPartner with the Sales, Marketing, and Catering Teams on all hotel functions\nPlan all food requisitions in a timely manner; ensure proper inventory and food cost are maintained\nElevate and mentor culinary colleagues; model Mandarin Oriental culture and values\nOwn and elevate the amenity program; innovate and create engaging guest offerings\nEnsure compliance with all health codes and certifications\nAdhere to Safe and Sound safety policies and procedures at all times\nAttend daily BEO meeting and weekly Resume meeting\nGuide the team to achieve 100% guest satisfaction\nFinancial Responsibilities\nManage food and labor costs per departmental budgets\nPrepare weekly schedules\nHuman Resources responsibilities\nCommunicate effectively\nUtilize the Colleague Handbook to support communication of policies and procedures\nMaintain Forbes Five Star, LQE, LQA and FLHSS standards\nOrganize daily colleague communication meeting\nAsExecutive Banquet Chef, we expect from you:\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role; experience in luxury hospitality is strongly preferred.\nProven experience leading a team.\nEffective management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.\nReading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.\nAbility to stand or walk for prolonged periods of the shift; ability to frequently push, pull, and lift carts or items weighing up to 25 pounds.\nDesirable:\nCulinary degree\nCompensation:\nThe salary range for this position is $95,000-105,000 annually.\nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development.
