Scheduled to open in 2027, the property has been designed as a low-rise lakeside sanctuary surrounded by landscaped gardens, parks, and waterfront walkways, while offering direct access to nearby commercial and retail areas.\nThe hotel will feature 146 elegantly crafted guestrooms and suites, many with private balconies overlooking Jinji Lake and Suzhou’s skyline. Guests will enjoy a selection of dining experiences including three restaurants, a lounge, bar, and cakeshop, along with al fresco options set within tranquil garden spaces.\nAbout the job:\nBased within the Kitchen Department at Mandarin Oriental, Suzhou, the Executive Chef is responsibility for directing training, supervising, planning, coordinating, of all areas within the culinary department, ensuring quality products for our guests, and secure profit margins while always maintaining the corporate image of the company.\nAs Executive Chef, you will responsible for the following duties:\nAble to lead successful culinary and stewarding teams according to brand standards.\nEnforce and follow strictly all food & hygiene related government requirements.\nEnforce and ensure that all FLHSS / HACCP / Sustainability and general Brand Standards are consistently in place, checked and correctly applied.\nEnsure Other Expenses + Food Cost are managed within budget and improvement recommendations are provided based on menu engineering and sales statistics.\nOversee and lead Waste Management solutions and ensure compliance with all regulations.\nActive involvement in commercial activities / promotions to growth awareness + profitability.\nShare the interest and passion for new developments and creativity to ensure an ever-changing F&B offering.\nAs Executive Chef, we expect from you:\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience in the same position in an international five-star hotel.\nExcellent communication of both spoken and written English;Chinese communication ability is a plus.\nStrong leadership skills and interpersonal skills.\nCreate and develop new dishes and recipes by keeping up with the latest market trends.\nConstantly strive to improve kitchen operating procedures.\nCarry out other duties as and when requested by management.\nIdentify areas of improvement through suggestions. \nOur commitment to you:\nLearning & Development.
