Fuji.\nAbout the job\nBased at the Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo / within the Housekeeping Department in Tokyo, the Floor Supervisor is responsible for ensure the cleanliness of guest corridors, guest rooms and back of the house areas are of the highest calibre and meets the established standards. Supervisor should be responsible for the supervision of the room attendants on the floors and follow up with guest special requests.\nThe Floor Supervisor reports to Housekeeping Manager / Assistant Housekeeping Manager.\nAs Floor Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nAdhere to the established standards of conduct and house rules, fire regulations and department procedures and policies.\nReport to shift on time in issued uniform in a clean, neat and tidy appearance at all times.\nDistribute master key to attendant and fill out the form\nUpdate SMS status VI room to VC\nAssign attendant on REX and make assignment then FL SPV check sheet\nAttend morning briefing with attendant at 9:50 and inter section briefing with runner, coordinator, public attendant, laundry attendant at 10:00\nCheck the wash machine and records\nOrder linen\nInspect all vacant and occupied rooms to check standards of cleanliness, missing guest amenities and/or supplies. Find out any problems of the room attendants and follow up. Average 15minutes to inspect room (Vacant and Stay over rooms 35rooms as maximum)\nMini bar check during the inspection\nConfirm the assignment, 10 to 15 assign changes happen daily. Provide information for all room attendants and new changes from the daily Housekeeping operation.\nResolve the trace by HSK/d\nEnsure all departure rooms are checked and released promptly for re-let.\nInspect all hotel rooms carefully ensuring that all special requests and amenities have been observed.\nEnsure all occupied and arrival rooms have performed turndown service after 17:00.\nSpot check room attendants and ensure that proper cleaning procedures and steps are taken at all times.\nReport DND and Pick Up rooms to Coordinator\nFollow up on all guest requests and provide prompt service in timely limited.\nSupervise all special projects, including mattress turning, renovations and general cleaning in the hotel.\nProvide on-the-job training and identify training needs.\nEvaluate room attendants’ performance appraisal as required.\nCheck daily for maintenance condition, make work orders for repairs and follow up for prompt service.\nEnsure supplies are correctly ordered, properly stored and re-used as directed to avoid wastage,\nEnsure the record for the mini bar consumption and posting data\nCreate the takeover sheet and floor assignment sheet for the following day\nAssist with general inventories.\nResponsible for the cleanliness of the floor pantry, keeping it clean, tidy and hygienic at all times.\nRead the log book daily. Write down any special requests or messages onto housekeeping log books to follow up daily events.\nInform the coordinator of any unusual events as soon as possible.\nAssist to evacuate in-house guests during fire evacuations.\nEnsure all equipment are in good condition and working order.\nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development.
