The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Milan is the city's most comprehensive, offering a holistic approach to rejuvenation and relaxation in tranquil, meditative surroundings that feature indoor swimming pool and six private treatment rooms.\nAbout the job\nBased at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Events Department in Milan, the Groups Sales & Events Manager is responsible for groups and events sales and operations. The Groups Sales & Events Manager reports to the Hotel Manager.\nAs Groups Sales & Events Manager, you will responsible for the following duties:\nSupport company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement;\nCarries out site visits as per company standards;\nEnsure a “sales” approach in every lead, customizing offers and ensuring that a luxury and positive attitude is always maintained;\nConducts weekly Group/event meetings with the team and other departments;\nGenerates Banquet Event Orders, Groups Resumes and business correspondence.\nMaintain an active trace system for all assigned groups. Compiles all internal database ensuring time efficiency and data accuracy as per MO policies\nObtain necessary approvals/permits/insurance certificates for events that are required\nContract business with approved vendors, as appropriate.\nDevelop Sales Team training courses based on current performance.\nAs Groups Sales & Events Manager, we expect from you:\nMust have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in groups, events, catering and conference services manager or event manager; luxury hotel experience, (and City of Milan F&B Knowledge preferably) is strongly preferred;\nExcellent communication skills; fluency in English and Italian is required;\nMust be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks;\nMust have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.\nGood Team Leader\nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development.
