Celebrate the essence of Mallorca through bespoke experiences, dynamic culinary journeys, and rejuvenating wellness - each designed to immerse you in the island’s vibrant atmosphere and extraordinary offerings.\nAbout the job\nBased at the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, as Head Waiter/Waitress you will be responsible for overseeing a designated service area, ensuring smooth operations, high service standards, and an exceptional guest experience in line with Mandarin Oriental values.\nAs Head Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nOversee a designated section, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming guest experience. \nSupport supervisors by completing daily checklists and maintaining service standards. \nDemonstrate strong knowledge of the outlet’s concept, menu, and beverages, confidently guiding and advising guests. \nEnsure mise en place and cleanliness standards are consistently met before and during service. \nOperate the POS system efficiently, including order processing, billing, and non-cash payments. \nDeliver attentive, friendly, and personalized service by anticipating and understanding guest needs. \nUpsell food, beverages, and experiences in a natural and service-oriented manner to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue. \nCommunicate guest preferences, allergies, and special requests clearly to kitchen and management teams, supporting seamless operations. \nAs Head Waiter/Waitress, we expect you:\nExperience and education\nDegree in Hospitality Management or similar. \nAt least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role. \nProven experience leading teams within Food & Beverage, ideally in a luxury hospitality environment. \nTechnical Skills\nStrong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. \nA genuine passion for guest interaction, with the ability to anticipate needs and deliver personalized service. \nA visible and confident presence on the floor, leading by example during service. \nA warm, friendly, and professional attitude, with a natural ability to create memorable moments. \nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development.
