The hotel belongs to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, an international hotel management company with a worldwide presence in Asia, Europe and the Americas.\nAbout the job\nBased at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona within the Housekeeping Department, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping operations, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and luxury service. The Housekeeping Supervisor reports directly to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper / Executive Housekeeper.\nAs Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nSupervise and coordinate the daily activities of Room Attendants and Housekeeping Attendants.\nConduct regular inspections of guest rooms, suites, corridors, public areas, and service areas to ensure compliance with Mandarin Oriental standards.\nMonitor room status and coordinate closely with the Front Office department to ensure timely room availability.\nProvide training, coaching, and guidance to housekeeping colleagues to maintain service excellence and operational efficiency.\nEnsure all housekeeping procedures, health & safety standards, and hygiene regulations are followed at all times.\nHandle guest requests and concerns promptly, professionally, and efficiently.\nAssist with inventory management, linen control, and housekeeping supplies.\nSupport the Executive Housekeeper in achieving departmental objectives, productivity targets, and quality standards.\nAs Housekeeping Supervisor, we expect from you:\nStrong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent knowledge of housekeeping operations and luxury hotel standards.\nHighly responsible, organized, and reliable.\nAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.\nAbility to work cohesively as part of a multicultural team.\nAbility to focus on guest needs while remaining calm, courteous, and professional.\nExcellent customer service orientation.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory housekeeping role within a luxury hotel environment.\nGood command of English; Spanish is highly desirable.
