Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi offers award-winning 5-star luxury hospitality and authentic local experiences with 390 luxurious rooms and suites along with award-winning culinary cuisines.\nAbout the job\nBased at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Engineering Department, the Painter is responsible for operating maintaining and repairing all aspects of the hotel’s woodwork and furniture in accordance with Emirates Palace standards to achieve optimum product quality at all times. The Painter reports to the Assistant Manager - Maintenance\nAs a Painter, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nProvide guidance, training, and assistance to the painting team, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and materials\nEstimate, plan, and prioritize work requirements based on operational needs\nCarry out painting and polishing of furniture, wooden or gypsum panels, false ceilings, and decorative wooden doors\nPerform repair and repainting of HOH metal doors and frames\nMaintain gold leaf and decorative works in the lobby and guest areas\nConduct inspections and carry out regular maintenance of public areas\nEnsure plant rooms, workshops, and related areas are kept clean and tidy\nObserve prescribed safety standards and help maintain safe working conditions for self and others\nPerform related duties and special projects as assigned\nInteract with other departments to provide additional or specialized services for functions and events\nAdhere to Emirates Palace Employee Handbook, Mandarin Oriental policies and procedures, and all safety/security instructions\nFollow supervisors’ instructions and complete tasks in line with job requirements\nEnsure uniforms are clean and in good condition, maintaining a professional and tidy appearance at all times\nAs a Painter, we expect from you:\nPrevious experience in the same role in luxury property, resort experience is a plus\nExperience with different surfaces (wood, metal, gypsum, walls, ceilings)\nKnowledge of decorative painting, polishing, touch-up, and finishing techniques\nTechnical certification or vocational training in painting, polishing, or finishing is an advantage\nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development.
