Mandarin Oriental, Singapore is a sanctuary of luxury and sophistication overlooking the iconic Marina Bay.\nAbout the job\nBased at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore within the Sales & Marketing Department in Singapore, the Sales Manager is responsible in playing a vital role for identifying, developing and managing accounts within specific segments, markets or geographical territories. He or she will maintain or increase current account production including but not limited to group, transient, rooms, banquet and events, weddings and F&B in order to generate revenue for the Hotel. The Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales.\nAs Sales Manager (Business Travel), you will be responsible for the following duties:\nProspects and develops new business continuously through phone solicitation, outside sales calls, customer visits to the hotel, trade shows, sales blitzes, direct mail, newspaper/journal research and other customer interaction or research.\nDrives and manages account transient, group and catering production through improved customer loyalty by excellent account management.\nDetermines the accounts' needs, Hotel's objectives, and marketing activities of each assigned market/account.\nNegotiates transient and group rates for assigned accounts.\nContinuously communicates the benefits of the Hotel to clients.\nUnderstands and is familiar with the fundamentals of assigned accounts.\nIdentifies new or existing markets/accounts that meet property sales strategy.\nBe accountable for all targets and goals set for area of responsibilities.\nDevelops marketing intelligence, new products ideas, competition activities, new customer trends and performance.\nAs Sales Manager (Business Travel), we expect from you:\nExcellent service and interpersonal skills\nExcellent business negotiation and customer relationship management skills\nExcellent presentation and communication skills (Written and Spoken English)\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications and HMS, Delphi\nSelf-starter\nGood problem-solving skills\nAt least 1 year experience in a similar capacity in an international chain luxury hotel\nMinimum qualification of diploma in any discipline\nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development.
