The hotel offers luxurious rooms and suites which allows guests to enjoy spectacular views of the city, it offers 640 rooms, suites and executive apartments, eight innovative outlets which showcases an array of cuisines, an infinity pool overlooking the spectacular city skyline.\nAbout the job\nBased at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur / within the Engineering Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Senior Technician is responsible to keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the hotel. The Senior Technician reports to the Director of Engineering / Chief Engineer / Assistant Chief Engineer /Duty Engineer.\nAs Senior Technician, you will be responsible for the following duties:\nConduct periodic checks on execution of policies and procedures, with reports to the Duty engineer and/or Maintenance Engineer and/or Assistant Chief Engineer.\nMaintain and repair hotel facilities, equipment, and assets with minimal downtime, following safety regulations and energy management plans.\nMonitor and control repair, maintenance, and operational expenses while minimizing wastage.\nLiaise closely with other departments, attend daily briefings, and ensure staff awareness of hotel policies.\nComplete work orders promptly, prepare daily reports, and follow up on tasks to ensure effectiveness.\nConduct inspections, supervise careful handling of furniture, tools, and materials, and enforce proper usage standards.\nTo ensure all logbooks, record sheets and relevant records are correctly completed and kept up to date prior to finishing shift.\nTo ensure the Hotel’s fire, health and safety procedures are adhered to.\nTo perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned, whether verbally or in writing, by the Duty Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or Assistant Chief Engineer.\nAs Senior Technician, we expect from you:\nTechnical/Vocational Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.\nHVAC Certification or equivalent trade license.\nAdditional safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, fire safety)\nMinimum 2-5 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience.\nStrong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.\nAbility to perform preventive maintenance and reduce downtime.\nOur commitment to you\nLearning & Development.
