are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join a leading structural steelwork specialist with an established reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK and Europe.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering structural engineering designs from concept through to completion, ensuring structural integrity, buildability and efficiency across a range of projects.\n\nWorking closely with clients, colleagues and multidisciplinary project teams, you will use your technical expertise and industry-specific software to develop design solutions, undertake calculations and support the successful delivery of projects within agreed timescales and budgets.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and deliver structural engineering designs in line with project specifications, client requirements and relevant industry standards.\nWork collaboratively with clients, colleagues and other professionals to develop practical and efficient design solutions.\nInterpret construction drawings, plans and technical specifications to inform the design process.\nUndertake structural calculations, assess applied loads and analyse stresses and load paths throughout structural elements.\nUtilise industry-standard engineering software to develop, analyse and verify structural designs.\nEnsure all designs comply with relevant legislation, environmental requirements, health and safety regulations and quality standards.\nContribute to tender submissions and provide technical input to support project bids.\nLiaise with clients and senior management, providing progress updates and technical reports as required.\nMaintain high standards of technical accuracy and quality in accordance with company procedures.\nKeep up to date with industry developments, engineering standards and emerging design technologies.\nSupport the wider engineering team, sharing technical knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement.\n\nAbout You\n\nTo be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:\n\nExtensive experience in a structural design engineering role, preferably within the structural steelwork or construction industry.\nStrong knowledge of structural mechanics, engineering principles and design methodologies.\nExcellent structural design calculation and analytical skills.\nExperience using specialist structural engineering software, such as:Tekla Structural Designer / Fastrak Building Designer\nFastrak Portal Frame\nSTAAD.Pro\nMasterSeries\nMasterframe\nMasterSeries Connections or similar connection design software.\n\nA sound understanding of relevant design codes, industry standards and regulatory requirements.\nThe ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and project requirements.\nStrong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.\nA proactive approach to problem-solving, technical accuracy and delivering projects to deadlines.\n\nExperience in structural
