The Company has a highly experienced leadership team with a track record of successfully commercializing and deploying industrial technologies and is working towards the deployment of a first-of-a-kind commercial plant.\nAbout the Role\nMangrove is seeking an exceptional individual to play a key role in their multidisciplinary engineering team. The Pyrometallurgical Leadwill lead the design and optimization of pyrometallurgical processes for spodumene concentrate conversion to lithium chemicals (lithium hydroxide or lithium carbonate) projects. This role is based in Vancouver/Delta, BC.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide technical leadership during feasibility studies, FEED, detailed engineering, commissioning, and ramp-up.\nOversee selection, sizing, and operation of kilns, calciners, and associated equipment and owning the vendor relationship.\nConduct lab-scale and pilot-scale test work for process development.\nDevelop and validate mass and energy balances, heat transfer models, and process flow diagrams (PFDs/P&IDs).\nAnalyze process data to improve efficiency, recovery, and energy consumption.\nSupport integration between pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical plant sections.\nDrive process efficiency improvements, including energy consumption reduction and heat recovery systems.\nEnsure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to technical capability development.\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Metallurgical, Mechanical, or a related field)\n7-10 years of experience in pyrometallurgy, preferably in lithium processing.\nRegistered Professional Engineer within Canada/US, or the ability to readily become one.\nExperience with designing complex metallurgical flowsheets for pyrometallurgical operations, such as crushing, preheating, calcining, milling, mixing, roasting, process off-gas treatment, and material handling.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.\nFamiliarity with process simulation software (SysCAD, Aspen) would be an asset.\nKnowledge of acid plants and electrochemical plants would be an asset.\nWhy Mangrove?\nAt Mangrove Lithium, our people are at the core of our groundbreaking technology.
