The Private Dining Sommelier is a trusted partner to fellow sommeliers, bartenders, and service staff and acts as an extension of the Beverage Director, aiding in service and operation of the wine and beverage program.\nWhat you’ll do:\nContinue to support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality\nPartner with the Beverage Director and Events General Manager to create and maintain an enticing wine program that enhances the guest experience\nProvide guests with a memorable experience by providing guidance and suggestions of wine and beverage selections\nEducate service team on wine, beer, spirits, cocktail and non-alcoholic beverage items in a way that adds value and fuels the team’s desires to learn and grow\nDeliver a financially responsible wine program that results in increased sales and maintains an inventory that is in-line with the restaurant’s revenue and business levels\nDemonstrate flexibility and a wide range of skills and knowledge in all service positions and an eagerness to continue to learn and grow\nPerform additional responsibilities as needed and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success, including support with inventory, restock and beverage service in general\nWhat we need from you:\n2+ years experience as a Sommelier or wine service role\nStrong knowledge in wine, spirits, beer, and N/A beverages\nEnglish fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required\nAbility to stand or walk for long periods of time\nWhat you’ll get from us:\nAt Union Square Hospitality Group, extending Enlightened Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do.
